Turf
Made a service design concept feel like a product people want.

Story Case study
Overview
Turf is a workspace browser designed for freelancers. It pulls apps, chats, files and tools into one secure interface, so the working day happens in a single place instead of across dozens of tabs. Turf started as Yash Jain's master's project in Service Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I built its website in Framer, turning the concept into a responsive, interactive product site, and I'm credited on it as the developer.
The challenge
A concept product has to work harder than a shipped one: there is no app to download yet, so the website is where people decide whether the idea is real. Turf's value depends on how its pieces connect (spaces, collections, chat, tasks and notifications), and a static page full of screenshots would not show that. The site needed to feel as quick and joined-up as the browser it describes.
What I built
- A hero, "Your all-in-one browser for a smart workday" (the key word rotates through smart, secure and super), with an early-access sign-up front and centre
- Interactive product previews of spaces, collections, search and notifications inside a browser frame
- "Reclaim your mental clarity" and "Reclaim your peak productivity" panels that name the cost of app-switching
- A "Bring your people and projects together" section on shared spaces and team collections
- Feature rows for one-click setup, AI help with busywork and a single place to manage it all
- A team section introducing the designer and developer, closing on a big early-access call to action
Design & build
I implemented Yash's modular layout and focused on the interactions: fluid transitions between workspaces, chat, tasks and notifications, and layout logic for dynamic content so collections, spaces and search feel fast and intuitive. Speed, responsiveness and visual consistency got the same attention as the motion. It is a landing page built to make a concept tangible.
What it delivers
People who tried it described Turf as clean and modern, and said unified search and collection management cut real friction from their day. Building design and development as one piece made Turf feel like more than a concept: a workspace people want to use.
