TrackLedger
Credits and splits for musicians, settled in the session

Brand Identity first
The brand came before the build.
A gold open ring around four rounded bars: a sound wave held in one place, every share accounted for. Gold Record palette of gold on warm cream with near-black ink and deep plum panels, Familjen Grotesk headlines, Hanken Grotesk body and Martian Mono for timecodes and numbers.

Overview
TrackLedger is a self-initiated concept: an app that writes down who made a track while it is still warm, gets every collaborator to sign their share on their phone before they leave the session, registers the song everywhere it needs to be, and pays everyone their cut each month straight from the track. I created the brand and designed and built the SaaS product website as a 17-page marketing site covering the product, a split calculator, public credits pages, a label catalogue, pricing, security, artists, help and a journal.
The challenge
Royalty splits are a dull, paper-heavy problem with a very human cost: most collaborations run on a handshake and a group chat, and months later nobody remembers who wrote the hook, so royalties sit unclaimed. The site had to make a back-office tool feel like part of making music, explain splits, registration and payouts without legal jargon, and earn the trust of artists, producers and labels handing over their money.
What I built
- A hero split sheet where you can drag the shares yourself: change a split and the signatures flip to "re-sign", exactly like the product
- The whole page treated as a song: a transport-style nav with a running timecode and scrub line, and every section marked on a ruler like an arrangement
- "One track, four takes": a pinned arrangement view where a playhead walks through capture, agree, register and pay
- A split calculator: set monthly streams and your share and see what your cut is actually worth, with currencies
- Product cards that are complete mini interfaces: a holding pot, statements, credits pages and catalogue registration
- Role tabs for artists, producers and session players, voice-note testimonials with transcripts, pricing with a plan comparison, and a security page for the money side
Design & build
The brand is a gold open ring around four rounded bars: a sound wave held in one place. The Gold Record palette puts gold on warm cream with near-black ink and deep plum panels, so it feels like a studio rather than a bank. Familjen Grotesk carries the headlines, Hanken Grotesk the body and Martian Mono every timecode and number. It is a fast static build with self-hosted fonts, structured data for search, strict security headers and gentle native-scroll motion, scoring 98 to 100 on Lighthouse and tested from 320px phones to large desktops.
What it delivers
TrackLedger shows how to make a money-and-paperwork product feel native to the people it serves: visitors can try a split, see what their share is worth and understand the whole flow in the language of a session. It's a complete brand and multipage website system, from logo and palette to pricing and onboarding.
