Tempo
A calm product site for an app that sells less interruption

Brand Identity first
The brand came before the build.
A mint dot riding two tapered waves: your attention, and notifications arriving in waves instead of a flood. Deep tide green on warm canvas, one coral accent for pings, Host Grotesque headlines with Geist for body and data.

Overview
Tempo is a self-initiated concept: an app that holds notifications from Slack, Gmail, WhatsApp, Teams and nearly 40 other apps, then lets them in as calm, summarised "tides" at the times you choose. The people who matter still ring straight through as "doorbells". I created the brand and designed and built the SaaS product website as a multi-page marketing site covering how it works, a tide planner, integrations, teams, pricing, privacy and early access.
The challenge
Notification tools are hard to explain because the product is mostly invisible: the whole point is that less happens. The site had to make the benefit feel real (fewer interruptions, longer focus) and answer the obvious fear, "will I miss something important?", without sounding like a wellness app. It also had to show that Tempo works with the apps people already use, on every device.
What I built
- A hero that states the idea in one line, "Let the pings wait for the tide", with a day view that compares a buzzing lock screen with Tempo on
- A five-step product story (catch, hold, doorbells, tide, act) with a sticky phone and a live count of held pings
- An interactive tide planner: drag tides along your day and see your longest focus, total focus and how long a message might wait
- An integrations directory of 40+ apps with real app icons, filters and search
- Pricing with a billing toggle and a side-by-side plan comparison, plus teams, privacy and early-access pages
- Reviews, a teams section and a footer timeline of "today on Tempo"
Design & build
The brand is built around a mint dot riding two waves: attention, and notifications arriving in waves rather than a flood. Deep tide green on a warm canvas keeps everything calm, with a single coral accent reserved for pings. Host Grotesque carries the headlines and Geist the body and data. The site is a fast static build with self-hosted fonts, structured data for search, and motion that stays gentle so the page feels like the product. Every page is tested from phone to desktop.
What it delivers
Tempo shows how a product with an invisible benefit can be made tangible: visitors can plan their own day in the tide planner and see the focus they'd get back before signing up. It's a complete brand and multipage website system, from logo and palette to pricing and onboarding.
