Sophiexx
A lookbook site that gets dresses ordered on time, anywhere in the world.

Story Case study
Overview
Sophiexx is an award-winning fashion designer with a fashion house in Surulere, Lagos, making bespoke asoebi, bridal gowns, prom and birthday dresses, plus a ready-to-wear sister label. I designed and built a fashion designer website in Lagos that works like a lookbook and gets clients from inspiration to a confirmed WhatsApp order, wherever they live.
The challenge
Much of the business comes from clients abroad who never step into the studio, and from asoebi groups coordinating many people at once. Timing is everything: a dress ordered too late misses the event. The brand needed a site that shows the range across three labels, explains virtual measurements, answers "how early should I order?" and sends a clear brief to WhatsApp.
What I built
- An expanding four-panel hero for Bridal, Asoebi & owambe, Prom & birthday and Ready-to-wear, under an announcement marquee.
- "Shop by occasion" shelf linking straight into filtered looks.
- A masonry lookbook with a sheet for each look, deep links and type filters.
- The First Veil bridal feature with a consultation call-to-action.
- A ready-to-wear shop with product pages and WhatsApp preorder forms.
- An order-by date planner: pick what's being made, the event date and where it will be worn, and the planner counts back through production and shipping to give an order-by date to send on WhatsApp.
- A 12-point measurement guide for ordering from home, plus a "worn worldwide" section and an FAQ.
Design & build
The wine and saffron palette comes straight from the brand's logo, which I rebuilt as an SVG with a script wordmark. Manrope keeps the interface clean while Dancing Script echoes the logo. The site is built with Astro and Keystatic: looks and ready-to-wear pieces are collections, and a settings file holds the WhatsApp number and production weeks the planner uses, so the brand can update lead times without code. The current design is a lookbook-style variation chosen over an earlier version.
What it delivers
Clients in Lagos, the UK or the USA can browse by occasion, see how virtual measurement works, find out exactly when to order and send a complete brief on WhatsApp, which reduces back-and-forth before work begins. See how I build ecommerce sites.
