Dovelight Network
A warm, people-first home for a Lagos ministry and its yearly gathering

Story Case study
Overview
Dovelight Network is a prophetic and mentorship ministry in Abule Egba, Lagos, led by Prophet Femi Elijah. This church website design gives the ministry a proper home online: a multi-page site covering who they are, their regular gatherings, The Return (a four-day convergence every August), a message library and testimonies.
The challenge
The ministry's content lives across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Luma, so a newcomer needs one clear place to start. The site had to explain the ministry plainly, point people to the right channel for each need, and make The Return feel worth travelling for, while staying warm, light and people-first, as a church site should. Every section is filled with Dovelight's real content, faces and messages.
What I built
- A hero led by the ministers' faces and a recent testimony, with "Plan your visit" and "Watch a message" up front
- A plain explanation of the name (the dove, the Word and the light), plus the word for 2026, the vision and the mission
- A dedicated page for The Return with dates, venue, host and a draggable carousel of ministers
- "New here? Start with these six messages": a suggested listening order for first-time visitors
- A channel guide explaining what YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Luma are each for
- A month-by-month planner the ministry can fill in as dates are confirmed
- A testimonies wall, with names withheld
Design & build
A light canvas, a violet accent and Plus Jakarta Sans paired with Open Sans: friendly, readable and calm. Photographs of real gatherings and ministers carry the pages, cropped from the ministry's own material.
The site is static HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Each page is written once in a source folder and assembled by a small Python build script that adds the shared head, navigation and footer and writes the sitemap; messages, ministers and other content live in a single data file. Motion is deliberately visible (split-word headings, count-ups, clip-path photo reveals and a page-transition curtain) using GSAP ScrollTrigger and Lenis, and it switches off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
What it delivers
The concept gives Dovelight one link to share that answers a newcomer's first questions: what is this, when do you meet, and where can I watch? Every path ends in a concrete next step, whether that's a visit, a message or a channel, and the build is simple to keep current. Here's how I plan sites like this as multi-page websites.
