SMILELOUNGE
A calmer, spa-like web presence for a Brooklyn dental studio

Story Case study
Overview
SMILELOUNGE is a full-service dental studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, built around a soothing, spa-like visit. This dental website redesign, built in Framer, reworks the studio's existing site so it feels as calm as the practice and makes booking, insurance and financing easy to find.
The challenge
Dental websites tend to look clinical, and many patients arrive anxious. SMILELOUNGE's real difference (an earthy, homey studio and honest, no-pressure care) needed to come through in the design itself, not just the copy. New patients also have practical questions: what's offered, whether their insurance covers it and how to book. The goal was to answer both on one well-paced homepage.
What I built
- A hero with the studio's promise and direct "Book online" and insurance actions
- A moving wall of real patient reviews near the top of the page
- A services grid covering preventive care, whitening, Invisalign, cosmetic, wisdom tooth and emergency dentistry
- "The Difference": three pillars, Soothing, Personal and Genuine
- A founder introduction and a team section with each dentist's specialty
- A new-patients panel for insurance, appointments, financing and questions
- A promo bar for new-patient offers
Design & build
The palette is cream and warm tan with soft greys, chosen to echo the studio's earthy interior. Gilda Display gives the headings a gentle, elegant serif voice, and Montserrat keeps body copy clean and legible. Generous spacing and soft photography set a slower, more reassuring rhythm than a typical clinic site.
It's built in Framer, which keeps visual editing, responsive layouts and hosting in one place, so routine updates don't need a developer. The practice's own content (services, team and patient reviews) stays as the base; the redesign focuses on structure, hierarchy and feel.
What it delivers
The redesign reassures nervous first-timers up front and puts practical answers close behind. Booking, insurance and financing are each one click away, and the studio's personality comes through before a patient ever walks in. More on how I work in Framer as part of my no-code builds.
