Phoebe Hearts Hope Foundation
An NGO site that puts the faces behind every programme first

Story Case study
Overview
Phoebe Hearts Hope Foundation is a non-profit in Ilorin, Kwara State, helping vulnerable children and young people through free skill acquisition, education support, mentorship and community outreach. This NGO website gives the foundation a full multi-page home (programmes, impact, get involved, news and events, contact and donate) that can be updated without touching code.
The challenge
The foundation's strongest material is its people: photos and stories from programmes like its annual summer camp. A donor, partner or volunteer arriving cold needs to understand quickly who the foundation serves, what it actually does and how to help. The goal was a site that feels hopeful and human rather than corporate, gives real moments room to breathe, and makes giving simple.
What I built
- A 3D hero ring mixing programme photos with short story cards, which visitors can drag to explore
- Programme pages for Skill Acquisition & Empowerment, Mentorship & Wellbeing, Education Support and Community Outreach
- A camp story that walks through the 2026 Summer Skill & Empowerment Camp, from first crochet stitches to graduation and the talent hunt
- A "Faces of hope" wall and a voices section with words from facilitators
- A donate flow designed as a modal that routes gifts through WhatsApp or email
- News, stories and events pages, all managed in Keystatic
Design & build
The palette pairs cream with deep forest and the foundation's green, then adds gold and a heart red sparingly. Bricolage Grotesque sets the headlines, Instrument Serif italics add warm accents and Figtree handles body copy. I redrew the logo (hands cupping a heart) as a crisp SVG.
It's built with Astro and Keystatic, so pages ship as fast static HTML while programmes, stories and events are edited in a visual CMS rather than in code. GSAP and Lenis handle the motion: the hero ring, scroll reveals and the camp walkthrough.
What it delivers
The concept gives the foundation a credible, shareable home for partners, volunteers and donors, with a clear route to give and proof of the work told through its own photos and words. Because the content is editable, new camps, outreaches and stories can go live without a developer. More on how I build these as multi-page websites.
